Our Workshop

Maximum Stone operates from a purpose-built workshop in Kumeu, Auckland. The team combines advanced CNC cutting technology with hand-finishing techniques refined over decades — allowing projects of any scale to be executed with the same precision and care.
Every project is personally overseen by Max Zuilen-Hampe, who trained in traditional European stonework before returning to New Zealand to build something different from the production-focused operations dominating the local market.

How It Works
A straightforward process from first contact through to a tidy installation and handover.
Consultation
Discuss your project, space, and material preferences. We can quote from plans or arrange a site visit. Quotes returned within 24–48 hours.
Templating
On-site templating with access checks and cabinetry verification. Vein matching and layout planning confirmed before fabrication begins.
Fabrication
Precision CNC cutting and hand-finishing in our Kumeu workshop. Custom edge profiles, cut-outs, and surface finishes prepared to specification.
Installation
Professional installation with discreet seams, levelling, and tidy handover. 5–10 working days post-templating. Written care guide included.
